  • Hampshire Companies Luxury Development: Setting a New Standard for Inclusion

    When Hampshire Companies envisioned an 85-unit luxury apartment building, they faced the challenge of aligning the project with community needs and municipal requirements. Cohome collaborated closely with Hampshire Companies to create 14 supportive housing units for adults with disabilities—a groundbreaking achievement as the most supportive housing units ever included in a luxury building in New Jersey.

    In 2023, the New Jersey Supportive Housing Association honored Cohome with its Innovation Award, recognizing our unique coliving model and trailblazing approach to supportive housing for adults with disabilities.   • 1 Maple: Approvals for a Mixed-Use, Inclusive Development

    Cohome partnered with New Jersey Community Capital (NJCC), a community development financial institution dedicated to advancing equity and opportunity in underserved communities, to secure approvals for 1 Maple. This in-town, mixed-use multifamily building reimagined two blighted properties to combine supportive housing and employment opportunities with market-rate condominiums, setting a new standard for inclusive and equitable redevelopment.

  • Historic Property ADU: Innovative Zoning for Caregiver Housing

    After multiple years of effort, Cohome secured zoning variances to add an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) to a large historic property supporting a 9-bedroom shared home. Designed to blend seamlessly with the architectural motif of the home and surrounding area, the ADU provides dedicated caregiver housing to support daily operations. This innovative approach enhances the functionality of the property while preserving its historic charm and addressing resident needs.
